This probably wasn’t the way SRT was hoping its third ALMS race would go. After the Vipers got a weight break and a larger air restrictor, the two car team was looking forward to an improved race weekend.

During a practice session the No. 91 car piloted by Dominik Farnbacher was involved in a heavy crash into a wall that left the Viper with major damage. Luckily Farnbacher was able to walk away with no real injuries.

The damage sustained to the No. 91 car was so sever that it won’t be able to compete in this weekend’s event and to add insult to injury, SRT is the sponsor for the ALMS event this weekend and the entire Grand Prix of Baltimore weekend.
