At the 2012 Moscow Motor Show, Jaguar debuted its new continuously variable All-Wheel Drive system along with the new optional Speed Pack for the XFR model.
The new Speed Pack for the XFR adds suspension and aerodynamic improvements to the sporty sedan, allowing it to hit a top speed of 174-mph versus the factory 155-mph. To help obtain the top speed, the engine and transmission have received a new calibration while the front aero splitter and rear spoiler gives the Speed Pack a different look.
In addition, the British automaker unveiled its new AWD system that operates “intelligently by continuously monitoring grip levels and driver inputs to both pre-empt and react to wheel-slip, enabling maximum traction in all conditions,” according to Jaguar. The AWD will be available on both the XF and XJ sedan models.
You can also watch the launch of the Land Rover Freelander 2 in the video below, which also showcases Jaguar’s new AWD system.
