Designer John Varvatos Adds Style to 2013 Chrysler 300 Special-Edition Sedans

Designer John Varvatos and Chrysler are collaborating on two special-edition 2013 Chrysler 300 sedans with even more curb appeal than the regular cars. The partnership isn’t new; last year, the designer was featured in a commercial for the Chrysler 300 emphasizing the automaker’s “Imported From Detroit” tagline first unveiled during Super Bowl XLV with rapper Eminem. Now, Varvatos has put his personal touches on two special edition 300C sedans, aimed at customers looking for a bit more style and personalization.

The first model is the 2013 Chrysler 300C John Varvatos Luxury Edition. Inside, passengers are surrounded in Poltrona Frau “Foligno” leather, “John Varvatos” logos debossed in the seats, and hand-sanded matte wood accents. Customers can choose between a monotone black or a Dark Mocha interior color scheme. Standard features include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and die-cast paddle shifters. The exterior is upgraded with 20-inch rims (19s for all-wheel drive models) and platinum chrome accents.

Next is the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition, which wears a Phantom Black paint job, 20-inch rims, and titanium-finished metallic accents. The front fascia sports aggressive and enlarged air dams and the back has blackened LED taillights. Inside, the seats are also treated to debossed “John Varvatos” logos and are finished in a Pewter Metallic color. Contrasting Diesel Gray and black stitching are aimed to mimic touches used on his clothing line. Completing the interior touches are exclusive gauge cluster and clock faces, Charcoal Hydrographic wood trim, and gloss black accents.

The Luxury Edition will arrive in showrooms by the end of the year, and the Limited Edition is scheduled to go on sale in early 2013. Both will be powered by the Pentastar V-6 rated at 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 5.7-liter V-8 (363 hp and 394 lb-ft) is optional, as is all-wheel drive in the Luxury Edition.
