Video Find: 2014 Jaguar F-Type Teased at Nardo and Nurburgring

An uncamouflaged image of the 2014 Jaguar F-Type may have leaked out last week, but that’s not stopping Jaguar from milking the highly anticipated roadster’s debut for all it’s worth. Jaguar has unleashed a few videos teasing the new 2014 F-Type testing on the Nurburgring and at the Nardo Test Facility.

The first video features the new British roadster being developed and tested at the Nurburgring. Engineers in the video say Jaguar took the 2014 F-Type to the Nurburgring for the same reason it’s so popular with other automakers — it allows them to tune the suspension, brakes, and electronic stability control systems so that the car can be properly set up for maximum enjoyment on the street and track.

The second video features the Jag doing high-speed testing at Italy’s famed Nardo Test Facility (where we tested the Lamborghini Aventador in our first Ignition video). Jaguar says it uses the Nardo facility to test how the F-Type handles high temperature and abuse, as well as to see how stable the F-Type performs at its maximum speed.
