For years now, drifting has been a common spectacle at the yearly SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. But this year, it’ll be moving over to make room for Global Rallycross Championship (GRC).
GRC will be putting on an exhibition race at this year’s SEMA Show on its opening night (October 30th) on a specially designed course. The event will take place on Las Vegas Convention Center grounds, which is located directly across from the convention hall.
Of course with SEMA being the largest show of its kind, it’ll be quite the opportunity not just for GRC to show off what it’s all about, but inspire all the manufacturers and distributors there to see how quickly rallycross is rising as a form of motorsports in America. It’ll also be the perfect way to cap off the season, which will end at Las Vegas Speedway on September 29th.
“We have been working hard with the team at SEMA and are thrilled that we will be racing at this year’s event. It will be a great opportunity to showcase the incredible technology of rallycross cars in front of this amazing gathering of aftermarket suppliers from around the world. We want to open their eyes to the excitement of rallycross, and show the world how cool these production-based B and C segment cars are,” said Brian Gale, GRC’s Co-Founder and President.
