Italian exotic sports car manufacturer Lamborghini is recalling 96 of its Gallardos and Gallardo Spyders ranging from model years 2004 through 2006.
The recall hasn’t extended to cars in the U.S. yet, but Transport Canada, similar to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, is reporting a flaw in the power steering high pressure line. On affected vehicles, that issue could potentially cause a loss of power steering assistance.
If the leaking fluid comes in contact with any of the cars hot components like the engine or exhaust, it could also cause a fire.
Lamborghini will fix the flaw free of charge through dealer service departments by replacing the power steering high pressure line. Owners in the U.S. should expect to see a similar recall very soon.
