In the wake of hurricane Isaac, Ford is offering qualified customers the chance to defer payments until their situations improve.

According to Ford Credit, the automaker’s lending arm, customers affected by the storm will be allowed to delay their payments by up to two months. It also said those eligible for the disaster relief program will be sent postcards to notify them of the offer.

“Any time a customer encounters any difficulty we would encourage them to get in touch,” a Ford Credit representative said.

The offer also extends to Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda and Volvo credit customers. You’re not alone if the idea of sending a hurricane victim a post card seems poorly planned, but customers can also call contact Ford Credit  or any of the other companies directly by calling the numbers listed below.

Ford Credit: (800) 723-4016

Others: (800) 945-4000
