Jessi Lang taught an automotive novice how to do donuts on last week’s Wide Open Throttle video, but this week it’s Lang’s turn to get schooled. In a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, Lang learns how to go sand crawling from off-road veteran David Hamilton.
For lessons, the duo head to Pismo Beach, which has 1500 acres of coastal sand dunes. Hamilton teaches Lang how to tackle Pismo’s largest bowls and, after learning the ropes, Lang takes the wheel to test her skills. Next they attempt to make it through the whoops without destroying the Jeep. Whoops are bumps kicked up in the sand by vehicle tires and are spaced about the distance of the vehicle.
Watch the video below to see how well Lang takes on the largest bowl at Pismo Beach in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and view our 2012 Jeep Wrangler First Test here.
