GM's New Welding Tech Heralds Increased Fuel Savings Send us your Tips! MANUFACTURERS BY REGION Vehicle Types Shows and Events Motorsports Aftermarket Lifestyle

Although we have already seen the car, heard the car and found all the details, Jaguar released two new videos to build even more excitement before the official event later this week at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The F-Type is Jaguar’s answer to the Porsche 911, and is the spiritual successor to the brand’s last small sports car, the E-Type.

It’s extensive testing is detailed in the videos below, titled Fierce and Focused. Fierce was shot at the Nardo Test Facility in Italy, which is a ring designed to push cars to their top speeds. Focused comes from the Nürburgring and is showing off not only the speed of the car, but the handling.

At its lowest level, the F-Type will use a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 pumping out either 340 hp or 380 hp depending on which configuration is purchased. At the top, the F-Type R will be offered with a 5.0-litre V8 that makes 550 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. Based on the brands XK sports car, an F-Type RS race focused version will also likely be offered, but not for at least another year or two.

Of note is the photo above, which originally leaked from an unconfirmed source. Now, Jaguar has released the high-res version seen above, confirming that this is the F-Type, and not an artist’s interpretation.
